6 Tips to Stay Hydrated While Breastfeeding

Hey there, breastfeeding mamas! Breastfeeding can be thirsty work. Seriously, who knew that producing all that milk could make you feel like you're constantly parched? But don't worry, we've got some tips to help you stay hydrated while you're busy nurturing your little one.

Keep a water bottle handy

This might seem like a no-brainer, but it's easy to forget to take a sip when you're focused on feeding or caring for your little one. I always make sure to have a water bottle within arm's reach so I can easily take a sip whenever I start to feel thirsty.

Eat hydrating foods

Sure, water is important for hydration, but did you know that certain foods can also help you stay hydrated? Foods like watermelon, cucumbers, and strawberries are all high in water content and can help you replenish fluids.

Keep water interesting

Let's face it, sometimes water can get a little boring. To keep things interesting, try adding a squeeze of lemon or lime, or infuse your water with fruits or herbs. You can also try drinking flavoured water or coconut water for a change of pace.

Plan rewards for yourself

Breastfeeding can be a demanding task, so it's important to take breaks and treat yourself. Plan little rewards for yourself, like a cold glass of water or a refreshing smoothie, to help you stay hydrated and motivated.

Set breaks to hydrate
